How I got here...

I've gone back and forth a million times about whether or not to blog my journey of, into and through modeling. I guess with the post you know my answer. I may not keep up with this or regularly post but I believe everything starts somewhere.

As I've stated before, my first dive into modeling was my senior year photos. I had so much fun and I was thrilled with how they came out. It was the first time I truly felt beautiful. The photographer was incredible and insisted that I set up a Model Mayhem and continue this path. I was a silly and shy little senior with more self-confidence issues than I could name but I signed up. I was quickly discouraged by creeps and spammers though. So without anymore modeling work coming my way, my Model Mayhem fell by the wayside and I focused on high school, college, work, and life in general.

With photography being so popular, everyone and their grandma was picking up a camera (not bashing, my photographer friends are among my favorites, such creativity that I sadly lack). Countless friends and more were pursuing this career and me, being the super supportive person, was always there to help them out and do what I can to bring their dreams closer.... not to mention, the urge to model never went away but just seemed less reachable. They saw my beauty and we experiment with every photo shoot idea under the sun. I will never forget those days.

Next, I learned about a local photographer that shot naked (or nearly) women in abandoned buildings for a special project of his. I always wanted to do this with him but those self-confidence issues would always talk me out of it. I was a lot bigger than anyone else he had shot.

Fast forward through a few years, terrible relationships, and a child... Pokemon Go comes out and I join a facebook group (cause those are all the rage now... haha). I meet an incredible man and we get together to play. We become great friends and eventually lovers. It turns out he's also into photography but hasn't picked up his camera in a while so once again, I pursue another to follow their dreams. He also sees my beauty (that I still have trouble seeing...) and asks to shoot with me. He's mutual friends with the guy I mentioned before who was setting up a group shoot in an abandoned mill not far from either of us. I was planning on going just to be able to explore this SWEET old place and I convince this guy to come with me and try shooting.

This is where the Zylonite shoot comes in. We had a blast. I was brought out of a depressive rut I was in and I think he was too. Ever since then we have been exploring and working together. I will continue to post the products of our awesomeness here. I look forward to sharing this experience with anyone that comes by here.

I think this is all for now. My word counter is telling me I'm at over 500. Lol. Don't worry! This had really set my creative juices flowing. I WILL BE BACK! <3

In the mean time, check out my Facebook page, Model Nycy Ninja, and my Instagram, @NycyNinja, to which I post almost daily. So feel free to follow if I've captivated you here and you miss my awesomeness. ;) Haha.

Keep it classy... NycyNinja <3
